Is Act 2 Audacious? A Conversation Over Lunch

A few years ago I had lunch with a former governor of Colorado to discuss my ideas for government reform. After I had described them, he responded with a surprising comment: ”Your audacity takes my breath away.”
As I later pondered whether or not that was meant to be a compliment, I concluded that I would not associate the term audacity with Act 2; certainly, its thinking is “outside the box” but I felt it did not reach the high bar that I attribute to that term.
Politically, I see the gold standard for audacity to be the writing in 1787 of a Constitution that granted sovereign power to the people. Now, that was audacious!
